BIOS:
Kevin Fogarty (Book, Music, & Lyrics) Songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Kevin Fogarty was a finalist for the Pipeline Theatre Grant, the John Wallowitch Award, and the Pamela Phillips Oland Award for lyric writing. His songs have been featured at the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) and the New Voices at CUA Music Festival. His musicals have been produced as readings, full productions, and workshops by the Encore Theatre, Montgomery Bell Academy, and Skyline Theatre. A member of the BMI Lehman Engel Advanced Workshop, his other projects include music and lyrics for Unbelievable (with composer Rachel DeVore Fogarty and book writer John DeVore), a musical about female baseball pitcher Jackie Mitchell; and he contributed the lyrics for the musical A Thousand Faces (music, Rachel DeVore Fogarty; book, Eric Lane; directed by Sam Scalamoni) about silent film star Lon Chaney. He and his wife Rachel can also be seen performing in NYC with their band “The Tipsy Pigeons.”
Todd Buonopane* (Bernie Tiede) starred on Broadway as Jean-Michel in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Amos in Chicago, Roger in Grease and many characters in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. On television, Todd is best known as Weinerslav from 30 Rock. Other TV appearances include Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Grey’s Anatomy, Braindead, and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Off-Broadway, he starred in Henry & Mudge, The Butter & Egg Man, Don’t Quit Your Night Job, and Cole Porter’s The New Yorkers at City Center Encores. Regionally, he has performed at the Alliance, The Old Globe, Asolo Rep, MUNY, Signature, Pasadena Playhouse, 5th Avenue, Ordway, Papermill Playhouse, Goodspeed, Maine State, the Argyle, Bucks County, North Shore and Barrington. David Couter (Clint) is excited to join this awesome team for this amazing new work! Some of his favorite credits include Peter in Comfort (Lincoln Center), Lucius/Demetrius in Titus Andronicus (Rose Playhouse London), Alex, Playwright in Caddywhompus (FringeNYC), Fully Committed (Skyline Theatre Company), and Chadwick u/s Walter in Elf (National Tour). Ralph Prentice Daniel (Danny Buck Davidson) is thrilled to make his WHAT debut! Most recently, he appeared as Horace Vandergelder in Hello, Dolly! at Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre. National tours include Elf the Musical (Walter Hobbs) and Hairspray (Wilbur Turnblad). Regional credits: Oliver! (Fagin), Mary Poppins (George Banks), Footloose (Rev. Shaw) – St. Luke’s Theatre; 9 to 5 the Musical (Franklin Hart Jr.) – McLeod Summer Playhouse; Assassins (Charles Guiteau), It Shoulda Been You (Albert) – The Studio Theatre Tierra del Sol; Tuck Everlasting (Man in the Yellow Suit), Elf (Walter Hobbs), Newsies (Joseph Pulitzer) – Orlando Family Stage. Ralph was part of the inaugural cast of Universal Studios Resort in Beijing, China, where he performed as Ollivander’s Wandkeeper.
Mark Fishback (Merle Munson, Greg Tate and others), is an Indianapolis-native, life-long actor, and Ball State graduate. International and North American tours: West Side Story (both US and Japan – Doc), Elf (Santa), 42nd Street (Abner Dillon), the new musical, Elf on the Shelf (Grandpa Bob), along with multiple regional productions, including Mary Poppins, Kinky Boots, She Loves Me!, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, The Wizard of Oz, and Newsies. Mark is ecstatic to experience summer life on the Cape with his castmates, and bring this fascinating story to a new audience.
Haley Jones* (Tammy, Shelby and others) is an actor based in NYC, originally from Kentucky. She is delighted to be joining the WHAT team and wanted to thank Sam, Kevin, and Christopher for this opportunity! Select professional credits include Erma; Anything Goes (UFOMT), Demeter; CATS(UFOMT), Mary Delgado; Jersey Boys (ACCC), Rizzo; Grease (Royal Caribbean Intl), Roxie; Chicago (NH Theatre Award Best Supporting Actress in a Musical), Nell Gwynne; OR, (Portland Stage), Patty/Swing/Dance Captain; National Tour (A Charlie Brown Christmas, LIVE!), and Sibyl; Private Lives (Winnipesaukee Playhouse). BFA in Acting from Otterbein University. When not on contract or touring, she is a passionate participant in developing new work and has performed in various readings in NYC including 54 Below, Skyline Theatre Co, 2015 NYC International Fringe Festival, and the Dramatist Guild Foundation. She is also a published poet.

Nevada Lozano (Music Director) is a musical theater composer and lyricist, as well as a professional music director, arranger, orchestrator, and pianist. He has served as music assistant for several Broadway productions, including: Oklahoma! (2019 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical), The Sound Inside, and Sea Wall/A Life. Most recently, he served as Conductor/Keys 1 for Rent at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Nevada is a member of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop (Advanced) and received their Jerry Harrington Award for Outstanding Creative Achievement in 2018. He has participated in residencies at Yaddo, the Djerassi Center, the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center, the Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts, and the Writers Grove at Goodspeed Musicals. His new show, The Carol of the Bells, was presented at Goodspeed’s 2025 Festival of New Musicals. He studied composition at the Eastman School of Music and Rice University.
Sam Scalamoni (Director & Musical Staging) is the director of the critically acclaimed National Tours of Elf the Musical which had thirteen companies across seven years playing The Theatre at Madison Square Garden and the Kennedy Center, and the world premiere national tour of the musical Noel with book by best-selling author of the Artemis Fowl book series, Eoin Colfer. Sam is the Associate Director of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast for Disney Theatrical Group which he supervised on Broadway and mounted multiple companies world-wide. Sam directed Les Miserables at Cortland Repertory Theatre, winning the SALT Award for Best Director of a Musical along with Best Musical of the Year. He also won the Broadway World Award for Best Director of a Play for his direction of Agatha Christie’s An Unexpected Guest also at CRT.
Dante Sterling (James Thomas, Skip Tomlinson) is a performer from Essex County, NJ. He studied voice and theatre at New Jersey City University, where he earned a BA in Music in 2005. From there, Dante embarked on a fifteen year career in the performing arts. Presently, Dante works primarily as a yoga teacher in northern New Jersey while figuring out what to do with his Master’s degree in French, and is always grateful for the opportunity to dust off the chops and get creative with other artists.
Emmanuelle Zeesman (Marjorie Nugent) is thrilled to be making her WHAT debut with favorite collaborator Sam Scalamoni who directed her as Marmee in “Little Women”. Emmanuelle was recently seen in the National Tour of “Hairspray” which performed in 165 cities across North America over three years. Other National Tours/ Off-Broadway credits include: DuMaurier in “Finding Neverland”, Aunt Em/Wicked Witch in “Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Wizard of Oz”, Adelaide in “Guys and Dolls”, and Rita in the off-Broadway hit “Dexter: the musical parody”. Other favorite credits include Mrs. Johnstone in “Blood Brothers” (CCC Best Actress Award), Corinne in “Going Up” written by her husband David Hersh (Winner of the New York New Works Festival), 6 seasons of Shakespeare in the Park and 5 years/4 continents touring with Platypus Theatre. @emmanuellezeesman
